LEWIS HAMILTON

This print reproduces the original artwork created by Vincere as a tribute to Lewis Hamilton, tracing his journey from his early days in karting all the way to Formula 1.

The original artwork was made entirely from pieces of used karting tyres. Each fragment of rubber bears its own marks, giving the piece a particularly striking texture.

The three main colours refer to the three teams that shaped Lewis Hamilton's career: McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari.

A career told through the artwork

The background of the original artwork was created directly using tyres, which were used to apply and mark the paint. The paint was then worked with a palette knife to create a sense of movement and speed. Pieces of tyre used as stamps, along with the small wheels of toy cars, also left different prints on the canvas.
